Utilizing the Embedded Form

With Embedded Form enabled, users must fill out the form after scanning a Qapture code in order to proceed to the content

Overview

When enabled, the Embedded Form is the first screen presented to the user after scanning a Qapture code. The user must fill out in order to proceed to the content.

An Embedded Form can be enabled in every Content Type except Freeform and Immediate Action. In Gamification content types, the Form section is mandatory.

Adding an Embedded Form

Example of an Embedded Form

Select the "Enable embedded form" checkbox.

The first two fields are “Form Title” and the submit button text, called “Submit button title”.

The next section adds the fields to the form. The first field shown is a Free Text field. In the box below, you will need to add the Title of that field for the information you wish to collect, such as “Full Name”, or “First Name”, etc.

There is a slider button below the field indicating whether it is a mandatory field or not. If it is green, the field is mandatory and must be filled out in order for the user to register for the game.

To add additional fields, simply select the “+Add New Field” button and choose the field you wish to add from the choices - “Text”, “Phone”, “Email”, “Integer” so that items such as name, phone number, email and age can be collected.

Below that is a place to add “Disclaimer” text, such as any age requirements or other Terms & Conditions.

Form Location

Form Location selector, in Games and Poll Content Types

For Games and Poll Content Types, it's possible to choose the order in which the Embedded Form is shown to the end user.

  • Before Consumption: Fom is shown before the content

  • After Consumption: Form is shown after the end-user has finished the game or answered the poll

Allow Pre-Fill (Autofill) for Form Fields

If pre-fill (also known as autofill) is allowed for a field in the Embedded Form, field would be pre-populated for the end-user if there is a previously used value in storage. For example, if the information was saved from a previous form, it can be automatically filled in new forms that appear.

In order to use "Pre-fill field", Dynamic Profile Update must be configured. To save an end-user's answers to a form and store it in their User Profile, see Dynamic Profile Update
